Here's how the GENESIS works...
The system fits neatly inside
most spa side panels. There are 3 components:
- The Digital Control Box
- The Bromine Generating Electrode

- The PVC Cell Chamber
The cell chamber, containing
the electrode cell is easily installed into the circulation system
of your spa.
After a special salt (sodium
bromide) is added to the water, you simply set the control box
to the desired bromine production level.
As the spa water circulates,
a small amount of the bromide salt contacts the electrode cell
and is broken down into bromine.
Later, as part of a perpetual
cycle of bromine production, the bromine will revert to salt
again for circulation through the electrode cell... creating
an endless supply of the bromine your tub needs for sanitizing.

Care & Maintenance:
Do not drop or completely submerge
the unit in water or dip beyond the maximum immersion level.
This unit is not watertight and is not covered under the warranty
if water gets into the unit. (NOTE - The COM-100 is watertight
and completely submersible. Please ensure that the battery compartment
and probe gasket ring are firmly tightened before submersing
in water.)
Do not store the unit in high temperature or direct sunlight.
This will shorten the lifespan of the product.
After repeated usage in high TDS water, it is advised to clean
the electrodes to prevent residue build-up.
When necessary, clean the electrodes by soaking the tip in an
acid (e.g., vinegar or diluted hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid))
and then rinsing well in water. If it is heavily fouled with
organic material, soaking the tip in alcohol or bleach may help.
Gentle wiping with a soft, nonabrasive cloth may also be acceptable.
The batteries may need to be replaced after extended usage or
lifespan. To change the batteries, remove the top compartment
of the meter (on the opposite end of the sensor) and insert new
batteries according to the polarity of the diagram inside. For
maximum life, use battery style SR-44 (silver oxide) button cell
such as No. 357A, R1154 or GPS78E. |

Ozone is active oxygen, O3. It
occurs naturally in the earth's atmosphere to protect us from
the sun's harmful rays. Some common uses are: pool and spa water
purification, drinking water purification, waste water purification
and air freshening.
It is one of the most effective,
complete bactericides of all earth's measurable elements. Ozone
kills virtually all known forms of viruses in water and air.
Ozone is not irritating to humans or equipment. Ozone purifies
water and air very quickly and efficiently, 3,000 times faster
than chlorine. Ozone leaves no by-products except pure oxygen.
In contrast, chlorine leaves a chemical by-product called hypochloric
acid and additional salts in water applications. Ozone will reduce
scum lines and foaming in spas with proper filtration.
CD
Style: A Corona Discharge Ozone Generater works by passing
air through a high voltage electrical discharge, or corona. A
minimum of 5,000 volts of electricity is necessary to create
the corona. Air or concentrated oxygen dried to a minimum of
-60°C dew point passes through the corona which causes the
O2 bond to split, freeing two O1 atoms which then collide with
other O2 molecules to create ozone. The ozone/gas mixture discharged
from the CD ozone generator normally contains from 1% to 3% ozone
when using dry air, and from 3% to 6% ozone when using high purity
oxygen as the feed gas.
UV Style:
The ultraviolet light ozone generation works with a special lamp
that gives off a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light which
converts oxygen (O2) molecules into ozone (O3) molecules by splitting
the oxygen molecules into individual oxygen atoms (O1) which
then recombine with oxygen molecules to form ozone. This all
occurs instantly inside the ozone chamber in the ozone generator.
